Ingredients
500 g ground beef or chicken
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
100 g breadcrumbs
1 egg
100 ml milk
Salt and pepper to taste
200 ml cream
200 ml beef broth
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp flour
Instructions
Prepare the ground meat: Place the ground meat in a large bowl. Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, and milk. Season with salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.
Form balls: Take about one tablespoon of the mixture and form small balls by hand, ensuring even sizing for uniform cooking.
Fry the meatballs: Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the balls until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
Make the sauce: Remove the meatballs from the pan and set aside. In the same skillet, toast the flour until lightly golden. Stir in the beef broth and cream, then add the soy sauce and bring the sauce to a gentle boil.
Add the meatballs back to the sauce and let them simmer for a few minutes to absorb the flavor.
Serve: The meatballs are now ready to serve! They pair wonderfully with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
Notes
For meal prep, these meatballs can be prepared in advance and frozen for later. Use a tablespoon for consistent sizes.
